Role Overview
The Account Management Team Leader will lead an Account Management team and build relationships with existing clients of Best Buy’s Advertising business. The Account Management team works closely with clients to execute and deliver on campaigns leveraging the advertising business’s portfolio of products. The Team Leader will lead the team in developing and executing strategies to deliver an exceptional client experience and grow the business.

The Team Leader will work collaboratively to determine processes and approaches to transition clients from pre-sale to post-sales, execute campaigns efficiently, ensure client satisfaction, be results-driven, and be solution-oriented with a proven track record of creating internal partner and client relationships. They will lead relationships and communicate effectively with internal teams, external clients, and third-party support teams to deliver on business goals. This role will strategically navigate near-term business and client needs, and long-term opportunities. Skills critical to this role include:
  • Adept at creating approaches and directing multiple levels within a business to drive outcomes
  • Ability to navigate and prioritize immediate business needs and dynamic pressures with perspective on short and long-term implications
  • Keen focus on the business goals, positioning of partners for support, downstream impacts of decisions, and team evolution
  • Responsible for establishing business rhythms and processes that enable a complex and high-volume business to thrive

Responsibilities

  • Determine the account management strategies and approaches for your clients
  • Responsible for overseeing the post-sale client relationship management of multiple category verticals/business unit which includes a large volume of campaigns
  • ​​​​​​​Develop strategic relationships with clients and guide your team to cultivate strong relationship relationships
  • ​​​​​​​Lead a team of Account Managers in strategizing and executing the management of advertising campaigns
  • ​​​​​​​Lead and manage third-party partners who support the Account Management team
  • ​​​​​​​Responsible for post-sale strategic campaign management and execution for a large-scale advertising business
  • ​​​​​​​Guide and oversee a team of direct reports, providing leadership and management to a team of Account Managers responsible for delivering business growth through post-sale client acct mgt
  • ​​​​​​​Ensure adoption of new ways of working within the team and successful onboarding of new products and capabilities
  • Collaborate across multiple departments to define process and policies for best-in-class service for all incoming campaigns, maximizing efficiencies and making recommendations to streamline work​​​​​​​
  • ​​​​​​​Lead strategic initiatives such as recommendations on tools and systems, key business pitches and process changes
  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Partner with multiple teams to facilitate information flow (including Sales, Creative, Finance and third-party partners)
  • ​​​​​​​Identify staffing needs, sourcing and developing talent. Establishes annual goals for Account Management team and coaches performance throughout the year. Onboard new team members​​​​
  • ​​​​​​​Ensure all aspects of the client partnership maintain the highest level of quality
  • Ensure all business processes, policies and work practices are followed
This position will report to the Director of Account Management and Operations, Best Buy Advertising Business.

Basic Qualifications
  • National or enterprise level account experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6+ years in marketing/operations/media/publishing
  • 5+ years leading people
