Director, Integration Management

The Integration Management team is responsible for effectively and efficiently integrating acquired companies into Best Buy in order to achieve the optimal value.
As a Director, Integration Management, you will work in partnership with Integration Leader(s) (within the business) to ensure the successful integration of target companies within Best Buy and will create repeatable approaches that can be deployed throughout the organization.

What will you do?

Support business leaders in effectively and efficiently integrating acquired companies into Best Buy.
  • In partnership with the Integration Executive, lead the creation of detailed and holistic integration plans, specific to each individual acquisition.
  • Partner with cross-functional leads to create integration management plans for each workstream.
    • Lead integration activities, set timelines, and facilitate issue resolution to ensure deliverables are met.
    • Identify and address cross-team dependencies and opportunities.
    • Partner with HR to support change management activities.
    • Partner with Integration Leader and internal communications team to design and execute robust communication plan inclusive of all relevant internal, target, and external audiences.
    • Create and oversee governance process.
    • Monitor and manage stakeholder engagement. Proactively address stakeholder concerns and manage engagement challenges that arise.
    • Develop ongoing monitoring / audit process to ensure plans are executed into business rhythms.
  • Partner with Integration Leader to effectively transition acquired companies into future state structure.
Create repeatable approaches that can be leveraged for integrations throughout the enterprise.
  • Develop a center of excellence for integrations within Best Buy.
  • Lead the development of a repeatable playbook, compiled of tools, templates, and processes to create consistency in future integrations.
Team leadership and development.
  • Lead Integration Management resources on target-specific team(s) in support of Integration Leader (within business).
  • Develop and train team on integration management best practices.
Provide strategic support to business and functional leaders.
  • Consistently ground teams in the deal theses and ensure we are positioned to deliver on the defined value creation levers.
  • Raise and address instances where we may be veering from deal theses and/or identified value drivers.
When not actively involved in integration work, flex into other projects within the Enterprise Strategy and Business Development team.
  • Develop strategic, business, and financial analyses.
    • Develop analyses and presentations based on perspective gleaned from C-Suite-level leaders and complemented with your own strategic thinking.
    • Proactively offer strategic insight and perspective to leadership designed to shape the Enterprise strategy.
  • Conduct internal & external assessments.
    • Lead the development of internal and external assessments (including, but not limited to due diligence of external partners and inorganic targets, functional and capability assessments, and gap analyses).
    • Lead project teams within the broader enterprise strategy / business development space.
    • Lead internal management team members in exploration and discovery sessions with external companies.
Basic Requirements (You must meet or exceed all basic requirements to be eligible)
  • 7 years of experience planning and managing complex cross-functional projects
  • 4 year s of experience effectively influencing senior-level leaders
  • 4 years of experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Ability to communicate succinctly to C-suite level individuals

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in corporate integration management office, management consulting, and/or project/program management
  • Experience building processes, tools, and approaches for enterprise-wide centers of excellence
  • Experience leading teams through change
