Demand Planning Operations Analyst - Vendor Collaboration Team

The Demand Planning Operations Analyst utilizes the appropriate business tools, systems, processes, and metrics to ensure efficient inventory management for anomaly stores, territory/market/store exceptions, managing inventory for events, or special customer needs by utilizing Supply Chain expertise and cross-functional relationships. This includes solving store or geographic in-stock level concerns, and understanding how / overcoming DC balance issues, transition management, and At Risk impact the needs of the stores. The position has ownership for these occurrences within a specific Territory (1-2 territories per Analyst) and will work consistently with Retail Leadership.

This role impacts business results through the identification and support of issues and opportunities related to Inventory Management and product availability across Supply Chain, Retail, and Vendor Partners. Also, this position leverages knowledge and experience to assist in delivering solutions which support core business outcomes at a local level (ex: store, market, distribution center, vendor, product category). It supports the delivery of key outcomes that span the Best Buy enterprise and is responsible for centralized execution related to key initiatives, events and business strategy. The RST and Drive Time Analyst is responsible for tactical execution supporting business processes and outcomes connected to system stability, inventory health, exception management, and compliance.

Job Responsibilities:
  • System and Process Opportunity Identification, Troubleshooting and Enhancement.
  • Process security requests, adjust company system levers, and trouble shoot issues in support of current business functions and during the roll out of new tools and processes.
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships and communication mechanisms across the organization.
  • Work with core business teams and retail partners to successfully complete additional projects and responsibilities as defined.
  • System and Process Administration, Maintenance, and Implementation
  • Execute system set-up, maintenance, optimization, and reporting activities as required to support key drive times, company initiatives, and projects as necessary.
  • Manage Demand Planning functions at a local level (ex: store, market, distribution center) as part of a support team for the core business, retail partners and vendors.
  • Utilize the appropriate systems and processes to drive identification, visibility, and maximization of opportunities across the Supply Chain.
  • Support cross functional system and process implementation impacting core demand planning functions, inventory management, replenishment, and other core demand planning functions.
    • Create process documentation related to key events and operations activities including SOPs, Job Aids and Playbooks.
    • Participate in the design and testing for process changes impacting core business teams, supply chain, inventory management and retail.
    • Provide on-going education of cross functional business partners across the organization providing visibility to work and outcomes of key events and activities
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 or more years’ experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Retail, Merchandising, Inventory Management and Demand Planning experience
