Affiliate & Partner Marketing, Manager

The Manager, Affiliate & Partner Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to support the growth and evolution of the Best Buy Affiliate Marketing Program. This role requires managing external partnerships end-to-end, strong financial and technical acumen, experience working with 3rd party affiliate networks, and activating on emerging media trends.
  • Manages all strategic aspects of top affiliate partnerships to maximize ROAS, maintain & strengthen relationships, negotiate media buys and commission rates, and innovate to launch new customer-facing capabilities
  • Owns budget and evolution of overall affiliate campaign strategy, including oversight of all day-to-day facets of marketing campaigns and presents results to Leadership
  • Collaborates directly with Finance, Accounting, Category Marketing and Merchant teams to align on overall Affiliate budget
  • Manages two direct reports and oversees day-to-day operations and product roadmap for 3rd party affiliate vendor
  • Develops and project manages technical roadmap for the Affiliate Platform
  • Plans, executes and presents comprehensive Affiliate strategies for key seasonal drive times
  • Owns team processes for multi-touch attribution, competitive insights and marketing mix optimization tools
  • Identifies, proposes and activates on new ways to improve Affiliate Program profitability

Basic qualifications:
  • 8+ years' progressive Marketing or related experience where at least 5 of these years have been in Affiliate Marketing, general Digital Marketing and/or Paid Media
  • Technical understanding and experience with Tag Management Systems, APIs and data feeds
  • Experience activating on emerging media trends (e.g., personalization, data matching)
  • Experience with managing third-party affiliate networks such as Rakuten LinkShare, Commission Junction, and/or Impact
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills to analyze Program performance and derive conclusions and actionable insights
  • Advanced written & verbal communication skills and the ability to influence / negotiate with external partners
  • Advanced experience in Excel (pivot tables, functions, etc.) and PowerPoint (ability to present stories with data and visuals)
  • Proven ability to manage marketing programs and campaigns in a highly dynamic, collaborative and matrixed environment

Preferred qualifications:
  • MBA or MBC
  • Experience at a Fortune 500 company (within the Retail industry, even better)
  • Experience managing million-dollar budgets
