Role Summary:

The Property Director, Best Buy Brands China will provide overall leadership, vision, and market knowledge for the team; overseeing the property function within multiple Best Buy Brands. Provides leadership and develops strategy for the multi-year country roll out strategy. Responsible for providing leadership in Site Selection, Construction, Lease negotiations, Architecture, Facilities Maintenance, Property Management, and Market Analysis. Managing the openings of up to 30 suitable "big box" sites per year within China. Requires a deep understanding of sales forecasting methods, and an ability to share and teach technical material. Ability to comprehend analysis including, data, revenue calculation, cannibalization, and interpret forecasts for potential new stores across all brands. Identify new locations for future store expansion and assess their viability and timing based on analysis of demographic and market trends. Ability to demonstrate characteristics of a leader, including strategic focus with the aptitude to inspire and motivate employees to drive themselves. Strong change management and implementation skills. Directly responsible for managing and controlling company assets, as well as managing and developing employees for future growth.

Basic Qualification:

* 5 or more years of retail Real Estate experience
* 5 or more years of acquisition and/or leasing experience
* Retail Real estate experience in China
* Experience managing a team
* Experience in Due Diligence and Project Scope Definition including government relations and determining project budgets & timelines
* Must be able to reside in China
* Must be able to travel up to 70% of the time within China
* Ability and willingness to travel to the us up to 25% of your time
* Fully fluent in Chinese (including reading, writing and speaking )
* Able to converse in English
