		<description><![CDATA[Sourcing and Category Specialist<br/><br/>Job Number:<br/>100000004Y<br/><br/>Description<br/><br/>*** 2 Positions Available ***<br/><br/>The Sourcing and Category Specialist is part of the Procurement team within the newly established Global Business Services unit at Best Buy.  There are two (2) positions available, and each plays a key role in the procurement of IT related products and services.  The Category Specialist acts as an independent contributor as well as a support role for more complex sourcing projects. The Category Specialist is responsible for the category management (sourcing, negotiation, contracting and supplier management) for an established portfolio of highly similar and non-complex products and services.  (Non-complex products and services generally have a lower cost, are more transactional in nature, and risk of supplier or product failure is low to the organization.)  The purpose of the position is to reduce the total cost of ownership for non-merchandise goods and services aquired by Best Buy by proactive category management in alignment with category strategies and by leveraging world-class negotiation and sourcing strategies, tools and processes.
