Lead Product Owner - Pricing

We are seeking a Lead Product Owner to join our Pricing Strategy team. This role will be a Product Owner and will work within the product model, collaborating with the product team and key stakeholders to develop a plan and business objectives.

This Lead Product Owner develops and actively maintains a product road map and prioritization aligning to industry trends, customer themes, technical needs and design challenges across the pricing capabilities of promotional effectiveness, open box, clearance and competitive pricing. This role requires strategic understanding of the Pricing and Enterprise road map and is the visionary for the product to meet evolving current and future customer needs. The role is accountable to create and manage product objectives and key results, key metrics for the product, aligning to the related P&L impacts.

This role is the “voice of the product” to all product stakeholders, ensuring goals are met and teams are aligned in supporting product goals by encouraging open exchange of information, building strong relationships across the enterprise, driving transparency, collaboration and alignment.

The role works cross functionally with enterprise teams; assessing impacts to strategies and processes and setting and executing change management strategies for successful adoption of the product. Lastly, this role will inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the enterprise’s direction by fostering a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome obstacles.

Minimum Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience at fast paced consumer products, or technology company with experience in software or product delivery industries
  • 2+ years' experience in a product management/development capacity, delivering retail pricing products, managing road maps preferably in a retail organization
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Track record of project execution, completing/shipping products on time and on budget
  • Ability to articulate clear and concise specifications for new products and new features with a strong affinity towards the developer community. Understands at a high level the landscape of tools and technologies that developers use to bring products to market
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate a strategy at every level of the organization
  • Ability to prioritize new feature launches based on competitive analysis, industry trends, emerging technologies, and company vision. Ability to articulate clear and concise specifications for new products and new features. Proven ability to work under rapid development cycles with large teams to achieve a common goal
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional team(s) without formal authority. Familiarity with financial concepts and financial/budget management
  • Understanding and working knowledge of retail pricing strategies and complexities
  • Experience with varied production methodologies i.e. Agile and/or Lean development
  • Progressive experience leading larger and more complex areas with larger budgets
  • Ability to understand basic and complex architectural diagrams and data flows
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in IT, Engineering, Business or Economics
