Diversity Community Giving Program

The Diversity and Inclusion Team works to stay in line with our Giving Strategy. This year, our Giving Strategy focuses on Education, Growth Opportunities and Building Community Partnerships.

Best Buy Knows Diversity and Inclusion

Focus on Education

Goal: Prepare the next generation by providing them with equal access to technology and educational opportunities.

Objectives:

  • Provide technology and resources to schools and youth organizations
  • Provide scholarships to students through partner organizations

Focus on Growth Opportunities

Goal: Identify and support opportunities that contribute to our growth strategy.

Objectives:

  • Establish a recruiting presence for Best Buy at career forums that target diverse communities
  • Opportunities to brand Best Buy as a great place for everyone to work and shop
  • Retention

Focus on Building Diverse Community Partnerships

Goal: Support community organizations that champion diversity and work to improve the quality of life in the community.

Objectives:

  • Work with organizations that contribute a percentage of their funds to the target community
  • Support community organizations to build partnerships versus event-based sponsorships
  • Raise visibility and awareness of ongoing diversity activities related to the community
  • Improve the employee experience through volunteering and leadership development

Community Partnerships

The Diversity and Inclusion Team partners with Community Relations to support certain non-profit organizations that positively impact the diversity experience and work to improve the quality of life in the communities we serve, including:
