Pursuant to the Utah Employment Selection Procedures Act, all records, including employment applications and related documents, are the property of Best Buy. Information contained in the employment application records received by Best Buy will be used only to determine whether or not to hire the applicant. Unless otherwise required by law, Best Buy will retain employment application records for a period up to two years from the time such employment application information is submitted to Best Buy unless the applicant is hired by Best Buy. After this two-year period, on those applicants that were not hired, Best Buy will dispose of the employment application records on such applicants in a manner intended to assure complete destruction of these employment application records and to protect against unauthorized disclosure during disposal. Best Buy will also take commercially reasonable measures intended to maintain the confidentiality of employment application records and to prevent unauthorized disclosure.
